What Does The Following Ultrasound Report Indicate?
Question: Today night i suffered a miscarriage in seventh week.In morning my ultrasound measures 8.3*4*5.1 cm and shows homogene myometrial echotexture. Endometrial cavity is seen distended with mild echogenic focus. EEC measuring in size 1. mm. No myometrial mass lesion seen.
cervix is normal.
No adnexal mass lesion is seen.
No free fluid is seen in Cul-de-sac
No free fluid is seen in cul-de-sac.

The ultrasound done in the morning is suggestive of retained products of conception in the uterus. In case there is an expulsion of mass along with blood then probably the abortion has already taken place. In case a heavy bleeding is continuing then it is best to undergo D&C- uterine cleaning as it will help in stopping the bleeding.

There was expulsion of thick mass when bleeding stated fallowed by heavy bleeding, but Now bleeding has stopped but pain in abdomen.Does it mean uterus is clear or i have to go for uterus cleaning.
