Brief Answer:
Cystitis
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
thanks for the query to hcm.
these are typical symptoms and investigatory findings for Cystitis which can present as difficulty in passing urine, increased frequency and hematuria with passage of whitish flakes in urine or as you mentioned mucous like streaks which are blood tinged.
This is usually due to bladder infection with ureaplasma or E.Coli and often due to dehydration and decreased water intake.
Get a urine culture done to isolate the organism and then a course of urinary antibiotics dor 7 to 10 days may have to be taken for complete remission.
Regards

Detailed Answer:
Yes,it is a possibility in case of a chron8c cystitis infection which has been ignored and not attended to with a proper course of antibiotics. If the infection remains peraiatent even after a course of antibiotics then the next step would be cystoscopic examination of the bladder wall.
