Hello

Welcome and thanks for the query

Normal liquification time of semen is 20-30 minutes.Normal semen is in gel form but when kept for half an hour in a container it becomes liquid. If the time is prolonged means there can be an infection for which you should consult a surgeon for the treatment. It is curable , fertility depends upon other factors also like count and moitility of the sperm as well as pH and morphology etc. There is nothing serious but care should be taken.

Best wishes and good luck

thank you doctor. the report says that the active motility is 40% and sluggish is 50% and non motile is 10% and they say motility is the sum of active and sluggish...so the motility rate is 90%...morphology-normal forms account to 60% and abnormal account to 40% with 1-2/HPF. sperm count being 80 millions/ml,viscoity being opaque and ph being 8. please give your valuable opinion.

Hello

Welcome once again and sorry for the late reply as I was busy with my work.

The semen report is normal , count 80 million which is good , motility 90% which is again very good and normal morphology 60% which is also good but it is better if he takes a course of antibiotics under doctor's guidance otherwise there is nothing to worry about.
Best wishes and good luck
