What Does The Transvaginal Pelvic Ultrasound Report Indicate?

Question: Hi doctor ,
My name is XXXXXXX and I need your help.I had a transvaginal pelvic ultrasound and there are the findings:
the endometrial thickness is approximately 5-6 mm with fluid within the endometrial cavity..There is no fluid into the endocervical canal.There is a proeminent nabothian cyst at the cervix measuring 7/6 mm.The adnexa are non-suspicious.The ovaries are not differentiated.The blader is still partly full with post void volume of 124cc.It is overall anechoic. I'm 61 years old and I had a Pap smear in Dec 2014
-epithelial cell abnormality
-low grade squamous intraepithelial Lesion,a more advanced lesion may be present Atrophic pattern;predominantly parabasal cells
-HPV mRNA E6/E7 not detected
I have burns in vagina ,it is so dried and I have some pelvic pain.
Please let me know what it is that Cancer?
I have nobody in this country and I don't know what to do.
In 2006 I had an operation -liposarcoma in my leg.

Hi

Thanks for your query.

I understand your concern. It appears that you are postmenopausal and having vaginal burns which is quite common at this stage of life. It is usually due to drying up of the vagina as the ovaries are not producing any estrogen.

Your transvaginal ultrasound and pap smear does not raise any suspicion of cancer. Do you have any bleeding? If there is, then I would recommend an endometrial biopsy (from the uterine lining). Otherwise, just followup and use lubricants for vaginal dryness.

You can also discuss with your gynec regarding hormone replacement therapies.

Apart from this I don't see the need for anything else.
