Brief Answer:
Non significant bactiuria
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
The urine culture has grown bacteria, the bacteria is of streptococcus family. The count of the bacteria in urine is less than 10,000 colonies/high power field. Usually we consider a colony count of more than 100,000/ high power field as significant.
Such low counts are usually seen when the culture is down after someone has already taken antibiotics.
Here is what I suggest
1. Continue to take antibiotics if you are already on it and complete the course
2. Drink atleast 8 glasses of water per day
3. Void urine after sex
I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me
Regards

Brief Answer:
False report
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for getting back with the details.
Urine routine and urine culture should never be done during periods as it gives rise to false reports like this. I recommend that you repeat a urine routine after 2 days of the last day of your period to be sure of not having a urine infection.
