Any thickening spotted in scan can be suggestive if initial stages of gastric cancer.The stomach wall consists of five layers; most tumors begin in the innermost layer and spread to the outer strata as they grow. Researchers also believe that stomach cancers develop slowly over the course of several years, beginning as precancerous changes to the lining of the stomach that show few initial symptoms.

Suggestion-
Go for MRI scan.
