Brief Answer:
Generaly,these are bad signs
Detailed Answer:
Hi hi and welcome.
Diffuse means that liver metastases are located diffusely in both liver lobes and this is bad signs since it means that these metastases can't be surgically removed. High bilirubin is also bad sign but it is good that largest met is necrotic since it is affected by chemotherapy. All in all, chemotherapy should be continued.complete cure is not possible but life can be prolonged with chemotherapy.Wish you good health. Regards

Brief Answer:
chemo for liver mets limited
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
Chemotherapy for liver mets has limited role. it may be useful for primary cancer but it will never affect significantly bigger liver mets since such tumors are usually resistant and it can only more or less slow down growing. If there is weight loss and loss of apetite, this can only lead to worse prognosis. At this point it is hard to predict life duration, but generally it is not favorable. It may be 4-5 months maybe, and chemo can prolong it for 1-2 months. Wish you good health. Regards

Brief Answer:
bilirubin may indicate liver disorder
Detailed Answer:
Bilirubin is one of predictors of liver failure but other findings such as prothrombine time, proteins, coagulation factors and albumines should be considered. Vomiting is unfortunately hardly to control,it may be consequence of chemotherapy or disease progression

Thrse were the blood readings . Can this b liver failing? Plus he has a stoma bag and theres bleefing in there
Brief Answer:
dont think so
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Liver markers and bilirubin are pretty good for this stage of the disease and I don't think this is indicating liver falling. He has anemia, slight one which is caused by liver disease but also by possible stoma bleeding. He also has thrombocytopenia which is probably contributing to easier gastrointestinal bleeding. I think his findings are generally not so bad, but hemoglobin, thrombocytes and bilirubin should be checked frequently and corrected if necessary. When thrombocytes grow back then bleeding may stop.
Regards

His eyes R yellow too. If no liver failure what could cause high bilirubin ? His kidney markers r high too. . Could this b body shutting down?
Brief Answer:
this is late stage definitely
Detailed Answer:
Yellow eyes are sign of increased bilirubin and jaundice. His bilirubin is increased but not dramatically. However, other signs and findings are indicating late stage of serious malignant disease and there is definitely no good prognosis and there is no much time left for such patient. Unfortunately there is no treatment either.

Brief Answer:
disease is progressive and only worsening can be expected
Detailed Answer:
Hi
At this stage, it is typical that so caled "multiorganic" failure occur,it means that primary disease may affect just one organ, but when serious sliver damage is present then it will lead to disorders of other organs especially kidneys, lungs, heart and bowels. When all this is accompanied with weight loss, cahexia and anemia then this indicate late irreversible stage of the disease that only can more or less worsen. Disappear of small liver mets has no any meaning,it is not changing his prognosis and this is not sign of chemo success. unfortunately.
