It is important to determine that mass is biochemically active or not.Tests are needed to determine the level of dexamethasone suppression,24-hour urinary free cortisol,urinary 17-hydroxycortisol and 17-ketosteroid,plasma androgens,testosterone, androstenedione,renin,aldosterone,urinary vanillylmandelic acid,plasma catecholamines and plasma metanephrine and normetanephrine.
Nonfunctioning mass <3 cm should be followed up with CT scans or MRI.If the mass has not grown at the 3 month or 1 year follow up then no further testing is required.

Based on clinical assessment,she may need some blood and urine tests.
