Brief Answer:
Under control.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
HbA1c of 5.9 signifies a very good control of Diabetes if you are on medicines.
In case you are not taking any medicines then this level signifies non Diabetic status.
HbA1c gives you an average blood sugar control of last 3 months. So, if you have been taking treatment for last 3 months then I need to know your previous HbA1c levels.
Your rest valued are with in limits.
I hope it helps.
If you have any further query, please ask me.

Brief Answer:
Pre Diabetes.

Detailed Answer:
Hi. Previously good HbA1c was also not suggestive of Diabetes. However it was in a Pre Diabetic state.
So ideally diet control and exercise are recommended for the same. However there are studies which support the use of Metformin at this level.
You should carry on with that as you have achieved a very good glycemic control.
I hope it helps.
