Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
The total serum protein, serum albumin, total and direct bilirubin, AST , ALT and A/g ratio(albumin/globulin ratio) are all within normal range, these are all okay.
The alkaline phosphatase is higher than the upper limit at 125, the upper limit quoted is 116.
This elevation would be considered mild.
Alkaline phosphatase can be related to conditions of the liver, bone , kidneys and intestines. It is found in all of these places, so an increase may be related to any of these though the test is used most to look at the liver.
A blood test called GGTP may be suggested by your doctor, this is sometimes done when the alk phos is high to see if the increase is related to the liver or another area.
If it is the liver, the GGTP may be increased as well. GGTP also goes up in alcohol related liver disease as well.
Summary: (1) most of the tests are normal
(2)ALK phos comes from the liver, kidney , intestines, bones
(3) the ALK phos is increased mildly and this may not indicate any serious condition
(4)GGTP may be suggested to determine if the slight increase is related to the liver or another place. If the GGTP is also increase, this would indicate that it is due to liver disease
(5)your doctor would likely monitor any changes since the increase is mild only
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
your values are normal
Detailed Answer:
HI
Sorry about the delayed reply
Mentioned that the total and direct bilirubin were both in the normal range above.
Bilirubin is formed as a result of the break down of blood in the body. It is normal to have some bilirubin in the body.
Too much may indicate that the blood is breaking down too much or there is a problem with processing or transporting the bilirubin.
Your values are fine
