What Does This MRI Report For Cervical Neck Pain Indicate?
C5-C6: The disc space is severely narrowed, particularly anteriorly. There is a broad spur-disc complex. This abuts and impresses upon the cord. The canal is mildly stenotic at this, the apex of the aforementioned degenerative type kyphosis. There is moderate to advanced narrowing of the neural foramina due to uncovertebral joint hypertrophy.
Cervical traction can help.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
You have a compression of the spinal cord. This can cause problems in case it increases further. To decrease the compression either you need a surgery or you can try for cervical traction and see if it helps. Regular physiotherapy will help in preventing the further progression of the problem. It will not help the compression that is already there. You can try physical therapy and cervical traction and get a repeat MRI scan done after 6 weeks to see the effect.
I hope this answers your query.
