What Does This MRI Report Indicate?
Question: I have a bump on the back if my head. Had it for years. I looked at my MRI (I had for others isses) There looks like a hole lower left side of skull (see photos). My GP says its not anything to wory about. I wanted a second opinion whether I should habe another Dr look at it, ir if it's really nothing to wory about. If I should see someone, what type of doctor shookd I see?
Brief Answer:
Probably a lipoma.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for asking my opinion.
To my best consideration of your MRI, it is just a benign lesion under the skin, with radiological features in favor to lipoma, or an atheroma.
Surgical removal is performed only on aesthetic reason.
I would not worry.

Ok. My GP said he thougt it was a pocket of blood betweent the outer and inner layers of the skull bone. I can't rememebr what he called it. I've been trying to research it though.
Ive uploaded all the layers that show from one edge of it to the other. Not sure if it helps.
But I do apreciate your input on this. Things like this get into my head and make me paranoid

Brief Answer:
You shouldn't worry.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.
I don't think you need to be worried much more than necessary.
Probably your GP called it hemangioma, that is a benign lesion of bones.
Follow up with your GP and imaging studies is sufficient in your case.
Kind regards.
