What Does This MRI Report Of Brain Indicate?
I am providing you with 3 medical reports. The 1st one (MRI Neck w wo contrast) taken about 10 months ago shows infection/inflammation of lymph nodes and possible mastoiditis. Mastoiditis in some cases can lead to infection of the membranes surrounding the brain. It can also lead to pus and infectious material collecting in the brain cavity.
I have been suffering with chronic daily headaches for the last 2 years.
I am also providing you with a Brain MRI and a CT Maxillofacial diagnostic imaging reports taken recently for comparison and further information.
My main question is : do my most recent tests COMPLETELY RULE OUT infection of the membranes surrounding the brain and/or pus and infectious material collecting in the brain cavity or any other brain issues be contributing to my headaches?
Thank you,
Yes, your brain is normal as per the reports.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
I have noted your symptoms and have also gone through the reports of MRI brain and other reports.
These imaging studies prove that there is no infection or pus within the brain or its membranous coverings. So, there are no findings in the MRI scans, which can explain your headaches.
You need detailed examination by a neurologist to determine the cause of headaches, and no further scans are needed.
I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.
Wishing you good health,
