Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. I would try to help you understand the different medical terms-
1.Grossly the different terms used like- glenohumeral arthrosis(shoulder joint degeneration),osteophyte(new bone formation), chrondromalacia(softening and chipping off cartilage covering the humerus bone) they all indicate age related progressive degenerative changes in the joint. As they happen in any other joint like in knee and hip.
2. We have a cartilage inside the joint known as glenoid labrum which increases the depth of shoulder joint and make it more congruous. There is a tear/rupture of this cartilage.
3. There is a tear in muscle and tendon (rotator cuff) responsible for outward and above head movement of arm.
To sum up multiple degenerative changes going on inside the shoulder joint. Are you a sportsman?
Hope this answers your query.
Take care
