What Does This X-ray Report Of Spine Indicate?

Question: Hi ,

I consulted doctor for neck pain and numbness in total body legs,hands back.

doctor precribed x-ray

Cervical Spine conclusion

1.Moderate Degenerative changes

2.C4-5 and c5-6 disc space narrowing.

Lumbosacral spine

1.Mild degenrative change

Neural Conduction test

Mono Neuritis multiplex(axonal) most affected lower limbs.

MRI TEST
conclusion : mild hydromyelia-dorsal cord.

What is the problem for me. Am taking proper medicine

Your reports show involvement of nerves in legs and arms. NCV has shown mono neuritis multiplex, which means involvement of multiple nerves in arms and legs. The cause of this condition needs to be assessed. Blood tests such as ANA profile, XXXXXXX etc should be done.

You are on correct medications. If there is no improvement in 6-8 weeks, then a nerve biopsy should also be done to confirm the cause of mono neuritis multiplex. Vasculitis (inflammation of blood vessels of nerves) is the most common reason in those cases.

X-ray and MRI abnormalities are minor and does not need any special attention, except for physiotherapy and medications as at present.
