Brief Answer:
There are a few things to consider
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing back, I appoligize duw to some techinical issues I couldn't reply you in time, my appologize for the delay.
You sent me creatinine value but that is actually the refrence range not the test result so kindly send the test result , you can take a picture or scan it to send us , this options is there.
As far as your GFR is concerned It is lower than normal refrence range which we normally take for a YOUNG healthy individual, but if you read on internet about "GFR ranges with age"and its related topics, you will come to know that it is normal to find GFR of 55-60 around age of 74-80, and as you are 74 years old I will count this as normal GFR for you , but yes the testing machine can give it as an abnormal test result because it's normal range does not consider age variation.
What to do about it?
You don't really have to worry much about the problem but yes you will have to take care in future about a few things which i am stating here:
1) Take care of your blood pressure if this stays fine then you don't have to worry at all.
2) Drink good quantity of water.
3) Stay physically active.
4) Keep a check on yoru ankles and face.. there shouldn't be face and eye puffiness and ankle edema.
Don't take too many pain killers.
Everything is fine don't worry.
Wish you the best of health.
Regards.
