Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your father, report as you have posted.
samples were studied in multiple fragments &that shows a intact lining mucosa. The Lamina propria exhibits mild lymphoplasmacytic infiltrate admixed with few neutrophils. focal cryptitis & crypt loss is seen. there is no evidence of metaplasia, dysplasia or malignancy seen
This is a very good report that shows no cancer in any form.
Rest of the report shows the inflammatory changes.
There is also no CMV inclusion.
So this is a case of colitis and not cancer.

You may please post the scanned copy of the report if you can.
Also give the symptoms that your Father is having and the treatment he taking.

Brief Answer:
As detailed.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for feedback and the report.
Noted the symptoms as well.
The case is clearly of colitis- Chronic means of long duration and active means is active at the moment hence giving the symptoms for which medications are already been given.
Bleeding and pain are due to direct effects of colitis.
Gas formation on taking something can be due to aerophagia that accompanies due to stress and/or anxiety associated with such problems.
Due to disturbed absorption the secondary effects of feet on fire, tiredness, loss of appetite, weight, interest can occur.
Hence I would advise you few more things:
Give Multivitamins with Ginseng/Lycopene.
Get Vitamin D estimation in blood and supplement as per the reports.
Identify the foods, beverages and factors that instigate or enhance the symptoms - stop these altogether. Keen observation by the patient and family members decide this, hence do not listen to someone else's advise about what to eat and drink - this is strictly different for each person.
Try avoid milk and all milk products, see the effects.
Same things with other foods and beverages.

Control of stress and/or anxiety is very helpful in all such patients. Identify the factors and ask your Father to avoid all or at least modulate and take medications related to stress and anxiety only if required.

I hope, this answer helps your Father further to have control over colitis, as it helps all my patients.

Thanks you doctor.

I would like to share more information such as

He was taking the multivitamin tablet ( Supradyn ) , but now it has been stooped by doctors.

His vitamin D reports were OK .( reports attached )
He is taking curd , juice , XXXXXXX , khichadi & rice product as per doctor advice also he is taking protein supplement ( by adding it in curd & juice)

One think I could not be able to understand , generally he is having a abdomen pain during late night only & not in day time .

In your reply you have mentioned Due to disturbed absorption the secondary effects of feet on fire, tiredness, loss of appetite, weight, interest can occur.

What does disturbed absorption means in that ? is it related to food absorption or something else.

I have attached some more reports related to him .

Please advice

Brief Answer:
As discussed in details below.

Detailed Answer:
Noted the reports and additional history.
Absorption occurs in small as well as large intestine, all the food material - proteins, carbohydrate and fat; vitamins, minerals, trace elements, water are absorbed at different places.
Bacterial flora of large intestine help produce some vitamins and once the large intestine is diseased many of these material can not be absorbed in sufficient quantity to have proper functioning of the body.
I hope, this clears your doubts.

The cause of pain in the night is most probably that the patient gets free by night and thus the pain becomes more noticeable while during the day the person gets busy or preoccupied with something to forget about the pain.
