Question: Please help me I'm so so so scared I'm crying I got lab work done for a pre op which is a cosmetic procedure nothing health related anyways my wbc count was 11.2 and my lymphs absolute is 4.7 but my regular lymphs that aren't absolute came back normal range 42. I'm so worried there's something wrong with me I'm a seemingly healthy 21 year old female who's not over weight. But the thing is I got this blood work done two days ago and last night I found an old tampon inside of me from about two weeks old and I freaked out and went to the ER for TSS and he said I was fine. I know the symptoms of cancer and none. I haven't had any fevers I haven't lost any weight I've actually GAINED 15 pounds in a month because of poor eating habits lol and I also have genital herpes and got over an out break about a week ago please please help me

I understand your concerns.

Fortunately there is nothing serious going on in all probability. The lymphocyte percentage is bit high, as is the total wbc. So 42% of 11.2 has become 4.7, slightly high. Nothing over the roof.

This can happen because of several viral infections, one of which is genital herpes.

In next few weeks it should come down. As long as it doesn't increase further, I would not worry.
