It's my grandma reports actually, she is taking just normal diet.
Brief Answer:
Needs a diet control.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Sorry for the oversight.
I would in her case suggest a stricter diet control.
Though it is easier to start a tablet it will also be more risky in case she develops hypoglycaemia.
I would personally suggest a diabetic diet control instead of using normal diet.
Then if it is normal, no need to add tablets.
If however the sugars remain high an additional dose may be tried.
For cholesterol, a mild dose of atorvastatin may be used.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information contained in this message will be able to help you find the best solution for your problem. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.

please provide some comments on HbA1c report as I m not able 2 interpret the result. What should it signify.
Brief Answer:
Explained
Detailed Answer:
It signifies the sugars are not controlled.
Hba1c is a test that measures the average sugars over 3 months.
Since its high , it means that sugars have not been well controlled for 3 months.
Since a few fasting sugars are near acceptable, the raise is due to post food sugar spike. Thus I suggested dietary modification.
Best of luck.

can you please suggest me the best reliable sugar testing machine so that v can check sugar at specific intervals at our ease.
Brief Answer:
Suggestions
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your response.
I usually suggest Accucheck for my patients.
However, there is another side to the machines.
They need testing strips.
These are not always available locally.
So buy a machine that is easily available. But more than that, for which strips are easily accessible.
Overall a machine will show it's own standard variation. So any machine will do in the long run.
