Brief Answer:
I would recommend a change.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Both the medicines given to her contains Metformin.
The only thing is that the dose has been increased.
My recommendations after knowing her fasting would be to give her Metformin 500 mg twice daily.
As I have asked you for diet and exercise, she should also carry on with the same.
I hope it helps you.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
I would recommend a change.

Brief Answer:
You can carry.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX.
That's everyone experience based on which one prescribe medicines.
You may carry on with Glucophage 750 mg for your wife and get Fasting and post prandial repeated after one month.
We would increase the dose, if next month also her blood sugars are not under control.
Good luck.
