Brief Answer:
probably not but it depends on the cause

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

your bun/creatinine ratio is not a reason for concern. Your ALT and your triglycerides are high. A high ALT usually indicates liver insult of some kind but it doesn't reveal the cause. It could be the effect of a viral infection, drug side effect, hepatitis (chronic hepatitis C or autoimmune hepatitis), obesity, too much alcohol, etc.

A low BUN is commonly associated with liver dysfunction as well but it's not diagnostic.

So, whether it's serious or not depends on the cause. Information like any symptoms you may have, your medical history, exposure to toxins like alcohol or others, drug use, etc are important to approach this situation. Further tests may be useful like an ultrasound scan of the upper abdomen and repeating liver function tests. Antibody testing against hepatitis may provide additional information. In most cases borderline elevations of ALT are not serious.

I hope it helps!
Kind Regards!

I have a couple of drinks every day but I did have a badinfection for which I was on Augmentin XR 1,000 mg-62.5 mg tablet, extended release, 2 Tablet(s) PO BID, 10 days. (Twice a day).
I beleve I also used to take tylenol before I started the antibiotics almost every day.
Currently, I am not on antibiotics. Should I just wait for few weeks before I get checked again or should I go to the doctor immediately

Brief Answer:
you can probably wait

Detailed Answer:
If you don't have any symptoms then you can wait. Both the infection and the drug may have caused this slight elevation in ALT. Drinking is another potential cause. If you drink like that for years then perhaps you should also try a radiological assessment of your liver for signs of cirrhosis. The low BUN is an indicator but not enough to diagnose anything.

Kind regards!
