Question: Mild hyperinflation of the lungs. No acute cardiopulmonary process. Stable chest.

What does this mean if it showed up on check xray

I can understand your concern.
Stable chest means no rib fractures.
No acute cardiopulmonary process means no cardiomegaly, no Pulmonary edema, no consolidation, no Cavity etc. Means no heart and lung related diseases.
Mild hyperinflation of lungs is only radiological finding. If you are not having any respiratory symptoms like cough, breathlessness then no need to worry for mild hyperinflation.
If you are smoker then you should quit smoking as soon as possible and get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
