What Does This Endoscopy Report Indicate?

Question: About 4 months back, when I started using milk powder for my coffee, I had gastric reactions such as bloating, belching and flatulence. I consulted a gastro-enterologist and had an endoscopy done. The report said it's BULBAR DUODENITIS. The subsequent biopsy test said "MILD DEGREE CHRONIC INACTIVE GASTRITIS". The doctor prescribed TORFIX (550) 1-0-1 (2 weeks) / Folinz 0-0-1(1 week) / Lesuride(75) 0-0-1 (2 weeks). I stopped using the milk powder and also spicy food. The issue seemed to have settled down. I started taking the imported 3-in-one coffee powder coming in saches (just mix hot water and drink). Again, since last week the issue seems to have relapsed. Severe bloating early morning when I wake up and also soon after food. It's even hard to breathe most of the times when there is bloating. What medicine(s) do I take to get relief from my current ailment?

Brief Answer:
Classic Of Gastritis

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for writing in

It is evident from your history that you are suffering from gastritis which is aggravated by coffee, it is not the milk in coffee that causes the problem but coffee is know to cause issues

I would suggest you avoid coffee, take bland diet for three to four weeks, avoid fried fermented meals and take a good proton pump inhibitor like Pantoprazole twice a day for four to six weeks and maintain it with one in the morning for another four to seek weeks

Hope this helps
