Question: Sir,
Good evening.
My brother-in-law is having problem with kidneys. He is having urine albumin indicates '+(one plus)' and he is diabetic. Serum creatinine ia about 1.7 mg/dl. Please suggest us needful. What medication is needed immediately. And also suggest us good kidney specialists for further treatment.

hi,
patient has diabetic nephropathy. best way to manage is

- good blood pressure control as close to 130/80 as possible
- good suger control
- no tobacco or meat products in diet
- control and early treatment of any infections.
-maintaining good haemoglobin and vaccinations for heparin British and pneumococcus.


there is no specific medicine to reverse this. but you should take soda bicarb tabs and vitamin d tabs under guidance of your doctor.
