Hello XXXX,
I am so sorry that I have not had access to your question to be able to answer it. I saw your question come through around 8 pm CST last night but as much as I complained to HCM, did not have access to opening it.
So, about the apple cider vinegar:
If you have no stomach issues, I don't think there is a problem with taking a couple of tablespoons of apple cider vinegar daily. There is some concern that apple cider vinegar can affect metabolism of some medications such as antihypertensives, and lower potassium. I see that you take supplemental potassium, so after you have been on the ACV regularly for 3-4 weeks, consider going in to have a potassium check just to make sure.
I looked up the research literature to see if there is a recommended dose for ACV for LDL, but the research isn't that far along. There are some small, limited studies on humans, but no large studies yet. Most of the studies have been in rats, so that doesn't help regarding how much to take.
Here is a research abstract relating to humans: http://nutritionreviews.oxfordjournals.org/content/72/10/651.short
Other than watching to make sure
- you aren't having acid reflux or stomach pain, or irritated throat
- your potassium is ok
- your blood pressure is ok (I don't expect this to be affected, but some of the information I read did say that ACV can affect blood pressure meds)
then I don't see a problem with taking apple cider vinegar.
