Brief Answer:
The appearance of the back of the throat is almost normal.

Detailed Answer:

Thank you for your query.

1. In the attached image, the back of the throat (posterior pharyngeal wall) is nearly normal, with mild congestion (prominent blood vessels), minimal granular pharyngitis (inflamed lymphoid tissue in the throat) and slightly excess secretions (saliva). There is no standard definition of a normal throat, hence the appearance varies widely between individuals.

2. These may be due to dryness, mouth breathing, reflux or an early sore throat. This would barely explain the feeling of being short of breath.

3. I would recommend that a full check-up be done at a local clinic or hospital including the cardio-respiratory system with blood tests.

4. You can upload these reports here or directly at bit.ly/Dr-Sumit-Bhatti for further discussion.

I hope that I have answered your queries. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
