My Semen Analysis As follows. Kindly let me know your opinion on this;

Reaction : Alkaline
Fructose : Present

MIcroscopic Examination
Sperm Count : 74
Motility
Rapid progressive motility : 40
Sluggish progressive motility : 20
Nonprogressive motility : 20
No Motility : 35

Morphology
Normal : 65
Abnormal : 35

Other Microscopic Examination
Pus Cells : 8-10
RBCs : NIL
Epithelial: 1-2
Sperm Aggregration : NIL

Semen infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Your semen analysis is excellent and all parameters are good.

There is minor infection as pus cells are more.

Please get another test called semen culture and sensitivity which is best to identify organism causing this infection and the antibiotics it is sensitive to.

Dear Sir,
Thanks for the analysis. Have provided samples for culture test, report is not in my hand but lab said "No Growth" thats it. What does No Growth means ?

Also above you have mentioned that there is some minor infection as pus cells are more, is it serious and which can be reduced by medication ?

Hi,

Since infection is minor it may not have been detected by semen culture and sensitivity test.

However, in such situations I suggest my patients to take Tablet Augmentin 625 mg twice a day for 7 days. You can try the same.
