What Does This Semen Analysis Report Indicate?

Thank you
Hi, your analysis suggests oligoasthenospermia.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, I think you have a low sperm count and a low motility also. There is no comment on morphology of the sperms. In my opinion, you should go for a semen culture also to rule out any infection. Also, you can take some antioxidants and some multivitamin supplements. Also some medicines like clomiphene can be helpful. You can discuss with your doctor regarding this. I think you can go for a IUI. In this, your semen will be processed and it will increase the count and motility to a great extent. Your wife will be given some medicines like clomiphene for the growth of the follicles and follicles growth will be tracked by repeated ultrasound. When follicles reach a size more than 17 to 18 mm, injection will be given to rupture the follicles. IUI will be done the next day that means after processing , semen will be instilled into your wife's uterus. Progesterone will be given for next 2 weeks. Hope I have answered your question.

i can see the PH is slighly elevated, could you please advise what that indicates ?
in terms of motility, some times it is up and some times it is down.
Elevated ph suggests infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, I think there can be some semen infection. Get a semen culture and sensitivity done to rule out that. Motility is also less due to infections sometimes. You can take antibiotic empirically like doxycycline 100 mg twice a day for 10 days. Discuss with your doctor regarding this. Motility can vary with different samples, but if rapid progressive motility is less than 32 percent and total motility ( rapid and slow progressive ) is less than 40 percent, it is of concern. Motility can be improved by antioxidants. Hope I have answered your question.

Thanks for your detailed answer, I will do semen culture tomorrow.
back in 2015, I have seen urologist and he has done comprehensive examination and ruled that I had infection and prescribed cipro twice daily for 7 days.
again in 2016, he had the semen test and ruled infection and prescribed the same medication and same period.
now Could you please advise which medication is best for chronic infections.
Wait for semen culture report.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, I think you should wait for semen culture and sensitivity report and take antibiotics according to the specific infection. If there is no infection, you can take Doxycycline 100 mg twice a day for 14 days. Discuss with your doctor regarding this. Hope I have answered your question.
