What Does This Ultrasound Of Liver Indicate?

Question: My ultrasound report says that there is an impression of hepatomegaly with grade 3 fatty change of liver. Please tell me what does this mean? Am I supposed to be alarmed?
Brief Answer:
Fatty liver is not a cause to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Your report suggests that the liver is slightly enlarged and there is deposition of fat in the liver.
This by itself is not a cause for worry.
I would like to check Blood levels of SGOT (AST) and SGPT (ALT). In case they are normal then you don't have to worry.
Because fatty liver by itself is a harmless condition if the above tests are normal.
In case the blood tests are abnormal the you would need further tests .
Hope this helpd and do get back in case you have further queries
