What Does This Ultrasound Of Liver Indicate?

can be related to diet
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
They are both linked to diet, however, different aspects of diet.
Fatty liver can be classified as alcoholic fatty liver and non alcoholic fatty liver.
Alcoholic fatty liver is related to excess use of alcohol.
Non alcoholic fatty liver is related to diet, inactivity and is also more common in persons with diabetes, high cholesterol, increased weight.
Though is is called fatty liver, it is the use of a large amount of carbohydrates (bread, biscuits, fries, pasta, rice, sodas) that cause fatty liver.
The carbohydrates are transformed to fat and stored in the liver. Also stored in the muscles and fat cells of the body.
Non alcoholic fatty liver is fast becoming one of the more common cause of liver disease.
It is treated by modifying the diet ( to reduce carbs), increasing activity and the use of statins
Gallstones : there are different types but gallstone symptoms tend to worsen with fatty or fried foods
The most common type of gallstones are cholesterol gallstones.
Gallstones are treated if associated with symptoms eg pain (most common symptom), nausea, vomiting
If there are symptoms then surgery is an option.
If there are no symptoms then monitoring is suggested unless the stones are large (greater than 2cm) or there are other complicating conditions.
Reducing fat intake will not cause the gallstones to dissolve but will reduce the risk of pain from the stones.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
