What Does This Ultrasound Report For Infertility Issue Indicate?
The test you had states that both of your tubes are blocked
Detailed Answer:
Hello, and I hope I can help you today. I reviewed your HSG result and will go over the meaning of the report.
You do have fibroids which are visible on the study, however the test showed that both of your fallopian tubes are blocked (which is what complete bilateral tubal occlusion means).
Blocked fallopian tubes can happen from many causes including some types of pelvic infections, history of surgery on your tubes, or it can be congenital. But usually, the fibroids themselves do not cause blocked tubes, however it still needs further evaluation.
So at this point, I would recommend consultation with an infertility specialist if you desire pregnancy because if your tubes are blocked you will need IVF in order to conceive.
I hope I was able to adequately answer your question today and that my advice was helpful. If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Best wishes,
