What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?

Question: Hello doctor,
During one of my ultrasound exams, they found a gallstone that measures 2.12 cms. Everything else is normal in the ultrasound.
As such, I do not have any abdominal complaints as of now, except slight acidity that hits me every now and then.
Just wanted to check if there is anything to be worried about.

Thanks,

Brief Answer:
no need to worry if you dont have any complaints

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Welcome to Healthcaremagic.

No need to worry as you don't have abdominal complaints.

In asymptomatic people gall bladder is removed if
-stone size is more then 2.5cm or
-any stone size and planning for pregnancy or
-diabetic

for you I suggest to get the scan repeat done after 6 months. If size is increasing then you may plan for surgery. Asymptomatic people getting attack chance is 2 to 4%.

Meanwhile you may discuss with your doctor and start on ursodeoxycholic acid tablets which help in dissolving of stone to some extent.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.
