What Does This Urinalysis Indicate?

What this means? And what are the next steps or tests I should take?
This indicates infection or stone in urinary tract
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX ,
I can understand your concern .
Based on the information that you have given to me , I would like to inform you that occult blood means the blood is coming mixed in urine that is not visible by naked eye. It's only visible by microscope.
Occult blood in urine has many causes but the main causes , in your age group are urinary tract infection that will include any infection in kidneys , ureter , bladder or urethra . Urinary tract infection present with pain or burning during urination , increased frequency of urination, pain lower abdomen , fever and fatigue etc.
Apart from this stone, any strictures or any tumour at any place in urinary tract can cause chronic irritation and may cause occult blood in urine. Any injury to urinary track can also cause this.
Apart from this few kidneys and bladder diseases can also give rise to occult blood in urine.
If you have any of above mentioned symptoms , then this finding becomes very relevant and need to be investigated completely .
In my opinion you should consult your physician and discuss about this finding . He will ask about any associated symptoms and examine you completely for any tender or painful site , your blood pressure etc. if needed he can repeat the urine analysis and order ultrasound of abdomen that will take pictures of kidney ureter and bladder to find out the exact cause of occult blood in urine.
Hope this will help you . If you have any other concerns please feel free to message me . Thanks for contacting HCM .
