What Does This Urinalysis Report Indicate?
Question: My daughter who is 8.5 years old was suffering from fever and cough...now the fever is okay after doing blood test, we found that malaria, dengeu is not there..urine analysis shows PUS cells (1-2/HPF), Red Blood Cells (2-3/HPF) and a few Epithelial cells present. No cast see

Most often such symptoms occur due to certain viral infections. Since malaria, dengue are negative you need not worry. A pus cell count of 1-2/hpf and presence of epithelial cells is completely acceptable and does not indicate urinary tract infection. I assume that the blood counts have also been checked and are normal. So the initial possibility of viral infection stays valid.
You need to be patient. Irrespective of treatment viral infections usually last for 5-7 days. Since the fever is already down you need not worry.
