As you see all is OK accept epithelial cells are high the normal range showing 0-4.
and also showing yeast cells present.

She is doing fine, but she had some pain 15 days ago before her period , so we visited
a gynaecologist she had done the urine routine and urine culture last 15 days before
that time in the urine routine test the pus cells were high and epithelial cells numerous.

She was put on antibiotic and culture report came negative after 3 days, but Gynaecologist doctor said to do urine routine again after 15 days and then see me.

Now we have done the urine routine but epithelial cells are high as above in the report.

Does she require further investigation as epithelial cells are high?(15-20)

Brief Answer:
15 -20 Epithelial cells in urine can not be considered to be very high

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .

After going through our previous thread of discussion on this forum your wife had UTI 2 weeks back and she has been given appropriate antibiotic .

Her recent urine analysis after treatment with antibiotic has revealed presence of epithelial cells .

Epithelial cells in urine is a routine finding and they represent the shedding off of epithelial cells which line up the bladder and urethral mucosa .Their presence in more numbers on routine analysis suggest inflammation of the bladder or urethral mucosa associated with infection and has no significance as long as the number of cells is moderate and not plenty or numerous .

Since she is symptom free there is nothing to be worried about .

She may take urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily for 2-3 weeks .This will help to reduce the inflammation of bladder .

Ensure she drinks more water .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
