What Does This X-ray Indicate?
YYYY@YYYY
Your brother might have pneumonia which is to be treated with antibiotics
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.
1. The X ray shows an area in the left lung lower zone where he might have developed pneumonia.
2. Consolidation is another word for pneumonia and is an acute lung infection.
3. In other words your brother in law might have pneumonia in the lower zone of left lung and he should take antibiotics given by the doctor immediately. After completing treatment with antibiotics, he should get another chest X ray to confirm that the pneumonia is treated. If the pneumonia is not treated after taking X rays then he has to go for detailed evaluation.
Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
Dr.Vivek

given something more effective and better. Warm regards, XXXXXXX XXXXX
Medicines are right but sugar levels to be maintained regularly
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. REKOOL-D cap: rabeprazole sodium (EC) 20 mg, domperidone (SR) 10 mg. This is used toreduce stomach acid.
2. ODIMONT-LC: montelukast 10 mg, levocetirizine 5 mg. This is used to treat cold and cough.
3. PARASAFE-650 tab: paracetamol 650 mg, methionine 50 mg. This is used to treat fever.
4. MAHAFLOX tab: moxifloxacin 400 mg . This is antibiotic to treat pneumonia.
5. LNZ tab : Linezolid 600 mg. This is antibiotic to treat pneumonia
The above medicines might be taken to treat pneumonia. Since he has diabetes therefore it is important to measure blood sugar level regularly and take proper food. Some medicines like the antibiotics given might affect sugar level in diabetes (increase or decrease) and he should maintain a balance of blood sugar level.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Dr.Vivek
