What Exactly The Signs And Symptoms Of Testicular Cancer ?
Thanks for the query.
Testicular cancer most commonly presents with painful lump on the testicle, but there are chances of it presenting without any lump too. The lump can be present anywhere on the testicle.
The common symptoms seen in Testicular Cancer are:
1. Lump in one testis which may or may not be painful
2. Sharp pain or a dull ache in the lower abdomen or scrotum
3. Heaviness in the scrotum
4. Breast enlargement (gynecomastia) from excess production of hormones
5. Low back pain, shortness of breath (dyspnea), cough due to spread of the tumor to other parts of the body.
The other possibilities of lump on the testis are:
1. Epididymitis or epididymoorchitis
2. Hematocele
3. Varicocele
It would be better to wait for the results of Sonography of the Scrotum to come to a diagnosis. The other investigations required would be Tumor markers like Alpha Feto protein(AFP), Lactate dehydrogenase, Beta HCG, and can be confirmed with Tissue Biopsy.
Please write back and also state the report of the Sonography.
Awaiting for your reports.
