What Is A Fatty Liver?
Question: what is a fatty liver
Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
Fatty liver is a condition wherein there is abnormal deposition of fat all around the liver as well as within the parenchyma of the liver.
The cause of fatty liver is a disorder in the fat metabolism in the liver due to a variety of causes like intake of excessive amounts of fat, alcohol, toxins etc.
Treatment consists of the following:
a. Elimination of the cause
b. Reducing fat intake
c. Increasing the intake of protein
d. Consuming liver tonics such as tricholine citrate and sorbitol along with ornithine compounds.
If left untreated, it can lead to cirrhosis, an irreversible condition.
If you could provide me details of your symptoms, I would be able to help you better.
Warm regards

Hello gain XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing back.
It would be too premature to repeat LFT(Liver function tests). You need to follow my advice and then repeat the tests after at least 12 weeks.
Hope this answers your query. Please accept if you have no further questions.
Wishing you good health.
