What Is Causing Numbness In Hand And Back Pain?
Thanks for writing to us.
Numbness in your hands and back pain could be due to a pinched nerve. Regarding your hand this could be occurring at the level of the cervical spine.
During prolong standing transient pressure over nerve can occur.
Since there is only numbness of the affected area it suggests that the affection of nerve root is only minimal.
Such minor symptoms are usually taken care of by Methylcobalamin supplements which you can take after consulting your orthopedician
Hope this helps you. Please do write back if you have any additional concerns.

It doesn't mean that you are overweight. Numbness in your hands seems to be due to pinched nerve in cervical region (back of neck).
You can do Gym exercises but I suggest you to avoid weight lifting over back. Do neck and back strengthening exercises under guidence of a physiotherapist. This will reduces pressure over nerve roots and hence decreses numbness in your hands gradully.
Hope this will helps you. Let me know if you have any more concern.
