Brief Answer:
AM so sorry to hear about this!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

FTD(frontotemporal dementia) is a progressive decline in cognitive status caused by a loss in the neurons of the brain located in the frontal and temporal regions. These areas of the brain control behavior, personality and language. Thus, as the disease progress, you may develop difficulties in this area. It is also called Pick's disease.

As of date, there is no effective drug that can slow down the progression of symptoms. Management consist in addressing the different symptoms a they arise. Persons have been able to live with this condition for as many as 10years after diagnosis.

There is ongoing research in this failed but as of date no breakthroughs. I remain optimistic that we would be able to address this with time but, we are not just there yet.

I encourage you to stay positive. Be optimistic. Live everyday to the best of your abilities and forgot about tomorrow. There would be challenges but what matters is how you face these challenges.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you for using our services and remember am available for more discussion on this if you have some specific questions.
