Brief Answer:
Hi and welcome to HCM
Detailed Answer:
Neutrophilia is a high number of neutrophiles in blood. neutrophilss are white blood cells which are necessary for our body to fight against infections. so when there is any infection in our body, you will have neutrophilia and this is normal body response to infection. Most commonly we can see it in urinary or respiratory infections but other ones can be considered as well.
Other less common causes of neutrophilia without infections are certain drugs, some hematologic diseases and rheumatoid diseases. So if there is peristent neutrophilia these should be considered.
But at first point, patient with neutrophilia should rule out infections in his body.
Wish you good health. feel free to ask. Regards
