Question: 1 have a inlarged prostate and use the oxybutynin er 10 mg tablets.i go to the bathroom every 2 hr at night.my age is 72.can you help me
Brief Answer:
Alpha blockers added?
Detailed Answer:
Welcome to the forum.
Help is certainly available.
In this context, oxybutynin is usually added to an alpha blocker. I would like to know if that has been done.
If you are not sure, kindly write back with all the other medicines that you are on, so that i can make sure that you are on alpha blockers.
So the essence is to take an alpha blocker and oxybutynin together.
Also, some life style modifications also do help,
1. Reducing water intake after 6 pm daily- in an attempt to reduce the urine output after falling asleep.
2. Avoidance of coffee, cola drinks after evening hours.
Hope this helps,
Sincerely,

Brief Answer:
So, none of these contain alpha blockers----------
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.
Aspirin and warfarin are blood thinners.
Metformin and Syntra are for sugar control.
Losartan is for BP control.
Thyroxine is for thyroid issue.
So based on these, i understand that you are NOT on alpha blockers.
Kindly speak to your doctor about starting the same and kindly get back to me after about a month after taking both of them, i can think of altering the medications if sufficient relief is not obtained.
Also control of diabetes is essential.
Hope this helps,
Sincerely,
