Brief Answer: 3 pegs of 30ml in a hour= 0.08 legal level Detailed Answer: Hi Thanks for query. I would try to solve the query. Alcohol is rapidly absorbed from upper GI tract. Peak blood alcohol concentration is reached in 30 to 60 minutes. BAC depends upon the absolute alcohol concentration and drinking speed. In 10ml of alcohol is 7.87g of absolute alcohol which increase the BAC to approximately 15 to 20mg/dl. Alcohol eliminate from body at rate of 7 to 10gm per hour. In that case, over a period of an hour, 60 ml and 90 ml of whisky produce BAC 50mg/dl(0.05 legal level) and 80 mg/dl(0.08 legal level) respectively. Legal level of intoxication should be less than 80 mg/dl(0.08 legal level) means three 30ml pegs in a hour. In case your drinking speed is faster, BAC would raise faster.
