Question: hello long story short a std ten panel from std check came back all negative. i waited four and a half months to get tested what is the accuracy percentage of the test

STDs are more than 25 in number. All the STD can not be be screened by blood test alone. Some of these STDs are rare nowadays and some can be detected only with the presence of symptoms alone Example is genital warts.
Tests are available for Major and more common STDs. The reliability of the tests once again depends upon when (how long after the high risk contact) it had been performed. Immediately after the contact it can not be expected to be positive even in the presence of the infection, as the body takes certain time to develop antibodies (moat of these tests detects antibodies). The time taken for antibody formation are varying with diseases. Anyhow if it had been performed after 3 months almost it is conclusive. Most of the tests available to detect these diseases are reliable to the extent of 98%.
