What Is The Cause And Treatment For Candidial Balanoposthitis?

Oral and topical antifungals
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
From the description, It seems you have got candidial balanoposthitis, a kind of fungal infection.
Some times excessive washing of genitals can result in removal protective flora of microorganisms which actually result in increase of bacterial and fungal infections.
Nothing to worry as its treatment is simple.
Consult your dermatologist for proper management.
In my patients, I usually advise some investigations like VDRL and HIV antibody as this infection is also acquires by sexual exposure.
A short course of oral antifungals like fluconazole and local application of clotrimazole cream is sufficient to take care of issue.
I would insist you to stop using any harsh soap over genitals and just clean gently with lukewarm water.
Additionally, I insist you to share pictures or any other doubts in the follow up.
Thank you
Wish you best of health,
