What Is The Cause And Treatment For Excessive Weight Loss?
Question: Hi there, I have been having problems gaining weight. I have lost 26 lbs and have no clue how to gain my weight back. I am on a lot of meds for different reasons and not sure if that's what's keeping me from gaining an ounce. I have tried many different diets with no luck. My family Dr. of 20 years has had me doing series of test to see if I have other issues that is stopping me from gaining. I do have a high level of stress also DDD, IBS and h-pylory and acid reflux too. I have tried weight gaining products without success. I'm at my wits end and tired of being made fun of about my weight which is at 106 now. This has also stopped me from going places because of the remarks. I have a hard time even looking at myself in a mirror let a lone my husband looking at me.

Gut Disorders particularly Acid Reflux and H.Pylori needs eradication and management.

My family Dr. has me do blood work every year during my Physical. My thyroid is checked with all the usual blood work. And the Dr. that does my colon checks and stretches my esph. Told me that once I have been diagnosed with Acid reflux and h-pylori I will have it for life!! Is this true? Even with taking the meds like Norco is a problem with my Acid Reflux. And will continue to do so until my pain meds are changed. He suggest that I should be on Mepthadome instead of Norco. I tried it for a month and was in more pain taking them compare to the Norco's It gave me more muscle spasms and body hurt more while I was taking them. I also get spasms in my chest a lot too. My Dr. had me do lung test that I had for my chest with having so much pressure on my lungs. My test came out good except when I exhale. Some of these problems I am told is inherited from my family who also has DDD and acid reflux/H-pylori too!! What is a Barium meal that will help me? I was told to eat certain foods and one was apples. I ended up getting heart burns from them. I do have a test to take for my DDD in which is a 12 hour fast and very hard for me to do so. I can not make any morning appointments or test because of my ability to move much in my mornings that I have to wait until pills kick in. I need my coffee with creamer in the mornings to get me going. I do have a high metabolitism and was told it would be slower after I turn 40 years old. I am 53 and it is still high. I was working a in very hostile environment which was office work and then they made me start detailing cars. In which I ended up with problems with both shoulders in which I sent to you from my last surgery. I lost my whole year dealing with these problems. I also had a total disc replacement in August of 2008 on the C-5 and have arthritis in C-4. I was told years ago when I worked in a factory that my body structure is too small for that type of work. So I went back to office work until my boss started to make me do things take hurt me and told them at time of hire. I had both shoulder surgery's when working for this Car Lot. I have problems doing normal house work that I have to do and can not unless I have my pain meds to help me do my daily chores. Which I am assuming has to do with the Chronic pain I have. Is Centrum Silver for women over 50 years of age would help me with the getting the right vitamins I need?
