What Is The Cause And Treatment For Genital Herpes?
Question: My husband & I both had blood tests prior to getting married 5 years ago to check for venereal diseases etc & both came back saying neither of us had anything. Last week he noticed sores on his penis and today they called with results- genital herpes. I have been 100% faithful and I really believe he has been as well. Is it possible to get genital herpes if my father in law has oral herpes and maybe touched it and then something like a remote control - then my husband touches that and then later masterbates? Does the herpes virus live outside of the body for long? Also could he have gotten herpes from a lap dance at a bachelor party? I'm just trying to find out if it's possible to get this STD from anything other than being unfaithful. I know there are incidences all of the time where a person believes their partner is faithful when they are not- but he's not that type of person and we are in a very loving and happy relationship.
