Question: even after taking levipil & oxotol,my daughter has a seizure

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your daughter's diagnosis and current medications.

For adequate control of seizures. we need to use adequate dose of medications as per her body weight.

If she has seizures despite being on maximum doses of levipil (levetiracetam) and oxetol (oxcarbazepine), then, additional medications such as sodium valproate or lamotrigine may be added.

she is having levipil500 thrice & oxotol150 twice a day

The dose of oxetol (oxcarbazepine) can be increased to 20 mg per kg body weight per day.
