What Is The Dosage For Bystolic And Telmisartan For A BP Reading Of 150/95?

Question: I have been taking Bystolic 10 mg and telmisartan 40 mg for close to two years. My blood pressure has been running rather low 111 / 70 and I have fatigue. I have a new medical dr. he has taken me off the Bystolic completely and suggested I take only the temisartan 40 mg if blood pressure starts to rise take more telmisartan. Would it not be better to lower my bystolic by 5 mg and stay on the 40 mg telemisartin?

Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.
It all depends on the BP and HR before you have started therapy two years ago.
If your HR was above 110 bpm and / or BP above 150/95 mmHg the best strategy would be to take BYSTOLIC and Telnisartan half of the actual dose and to measure BP and HR if normal than you may stop taking telmisartan.
Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!
