Question: Hello doctor, me and my wife fell fown from activa 4 days back, i immediately took her for checking to our gynec. He told everything is fine with her pregnancy. She is in her 5th month, we now sometimes worry about any compication just by corelating her few conditions like she sometimes feel (vain over vain- hindi me XXXXXXX chadhana) so i connect it with that accident. Doctor that day told us no worries with pregnancy. We just slipped from activa at very slow speed on a slippary surface. I am expecting an answer that wether there is a posaibilty of any complication even though doctor confirmed that no worries ????

Brief Answer:
No need to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Fall or injury during pregnancy affects the fetus only when there is direct impact on the abdomen or injury occurs leading to separation of placenta from the uterine wall, which leads to decreased blood flow to the fetus. All these conditions and placental status should be assessed by an ultrasound after the injury. If the ultrasound is normal and there is no bleeding from vagina or any pain abdomen, then there is no reason to worry at all.
Dizziness or fainting on prolonged standing are common in pregnancy because of the increased levels of progesterone hormone in the body during pregnancy.
I suggest you not to worry if there are no such symptoms.

Wishing you both good health.
